Update 3/5/13: My foster mom says it breaks her heart that there are no applications for me. She says I am so sweet and fluffy - she gives me lots of kisses and rubs which makes me feel wonderful. Being one of the older pups in rescue can be sad but I know there is a wonderful home out there for me. All I need is someone to love me and I promise to be the best dog ever. Please consider adopting me.
Update 12/29/12: I hope you are having the Happiest of Howlidays! I thought it would be nice to update you on my progress since I have been in rescue. Have you ever seen a comical dog? My legs fly when I'm happy and I rub my head on people to be petted. I can jump totally off the ground and am completely house-trained. I am really friendly with people and am great with other dogs, cats and kids! When it comes down to it, I just really want to be close to you. I love going on car rides and I walk nicely when on a leash. My foster family say I am so easy and really cute. Just wait until my hair grows back! Oh did I mention that I am not a barker? I have a happy personality and would be just perfect for a single person or an older couple as a companion. My New Year's Resolution is to find a furever family for 2013 that will love me as much, if not more, than I love them!
Woof Woof! My name is Cain and I am a Yorkie-Poodle mix. I know I don't look like one right now but that is because my hair was shaved down to the core of my skin because I was really matted. Now I have to wait for my hair to grow back and then you will be able to see that I am a handsome Yorkie-Poodle boy. I have beautiful black markings among my grey poodle hair and I promise I will be even more adorable when my soft curls grow back in! I was found abandoned under a car on Thanksgiving Day and thankfully a Rescue Squad volunteer saved me. After a few weeks, no one came to get me so now I am in foster care looking for a new furever family. I am a very mellow guy who is friendly with other dogs. I am house trained but that is because my foster Mummy puts me outside after eating and naps so the consistency helps a lot! I have no teeth but I have no trouble eating small kibble. I jump off the ground for treats and I follow my foster Mummy for petting and I like to be held. I also enjoy my dog bed very much and will roll around until the blanket is perfect for me. It has to be perfect for my long naps! Woof! I walk nice on a leash and I do not bark. I also sleep in my crate all night long. I would be the perfect dog for an older couple or single retired person. My foster Mummy told me that I do not deserve to be left alone during the day! Won't you make my Howliday wish come true?
