Update 7/1/13: I am a "new" Waldo.  While I am still shy when meeting new people, now it only takes me a few minutes to warm up and become a normal, friendly dog!  I want attention; I want to be pet; I want to kiss you!  My foster Mommy is so proud of me because I have only had one accident all week and will stay in my crate when she asks me to!  I love other dogs and they love me!  What can I say?  I'm just that kind of pup!  I have NEVER growled and I am great with young children.  My foster Mom says that I am very well behaved and listen to correction immediately.  I love my humans endlessly and we all just know that there is someone out there that needs me just as much as I need them!  I am a very special boy who has overcome so much but now it's time for me to find my furever home!  Please visit www.yorkie911rescue.com to fill out an adoption application for me.

Update 6/16/13: If you had the chance to meet me when I first came into rescue then met me again today, you would see that I am a completely different pup!  See my new photo?  I have really started to love swimming!  You can totally add "almost" housebroken to my resume too!  Oh and I am also great in the bath.  I loved the sauna but wasn't so thrilled about my new hairdo. It brought out my funky side... perhaps someone funky is looking to adopt a yorkie?!?!  Visit www.yorkie911rescue.com to fill out an adoption application for me!

Update 4/15/13: I am a timid boy but have really started to come out of my shell!  I am a sweet pup who follows my foster Mom around constantly.  I would make a great lap dog because I love to snuggle up on the couch!  I'm still working on my house breaking but I am a very smart boy and pick up on new routines quickly.  I love being around the other dogs and am very tolerant of children.  You want to know what else I have learned since being in rescue?  I "come" when called!  My foster Mom thinks this is so awesome because it shows how much of an improvement I have made while I have been in rescue.  Those puppy mill days are far behind me now and I look forward to continue my progress so I can finally be a well-balanced dog!  I would love to share my progress with a furever family willing to love me as much as I will love them!  Please put an adoption application for me at www.yorkie911rescue.com.

Update 4/6/13: I'm still on the lookout for my new furever family.  I came from a puppy mill so since I was used to being around a lot of dogs, I feel most comfortable when they are around me.  I would prefer to go to a furever home where there is at least one other furry friend for me to bond with and a patient furever family who will continue to help me with my progress.  I need to learn how to feel comfortable around people, and well, the rest of the world.  I lived a very sheltered life before coming to Yorkie911, so while I am making strides in rescue, I am hoping to share my progress with my very own furever family soon!

Update 2/21/13: I am doing doing remarkably well.  My foster Mommy taught me how to walk on leash and how to climb stairs.  When I'm not cowering, my foster Mom says I am a handsome fellow.  I do not want to be left alone or I will moan, cry and bark but that happens with most small dogs!  I stay out of the crate all day and I love to sit on the couch and watch TV!  Being that I was in a crate most of my life, I'm sure you can understand that I do not like to be locked up in a crate any more.  I have tasted freedom and never want to go back!  I don't do very much but I do love having someone near me all the time.  I won't let my foster Mom go anywhere without keeping her within eye sight!  I also love soft touch and no loud noises.  I eat and drink well.  I have sort of earned the nickname 'Scooter' because I scoot from one place to the next so fast!  I like other dogs.  My foster Mom takes me out a lot but I'm still not understanding why.  I am still learning what it means to be housebroken?!  Right now, I just pee in my belly band but I'm working on it!  I need a family willing to help me break out of my puppy mill ways.  If you're willing to take this journey with me and are looking for a loyal companion, then please put your application in!

Woof Woof!  My name is Waldo and I arrived at Yorkie911 Rescue with a warm welcome!  A group of us were rescued from a puppy mill who used us to make puppies to sell to pet shops.  I am thankful that I will never have to worry about that kind of life-style again!  I'm headed to the dogter this week to be checked out and will be neutered then I will be on the lookout for my furever family!  I will need a family that is willing to teach me how to build up my trust with people.  Due to the large number of dogs that were always around me and the very little socialization that I have had with people, I try to hide whenever I can.  I will allow my foster Mom to hold and pet me but I will move away the second she stops.   The Rescue Squad feel that in due time, this will change even though it is heartbreaking to see right now.  They told me I just have to learn to trust people.  If you would like to be a part of teaching me to come out of my shell then visit www.yorkie911rescue.com to fill out an adoption application for me!
  My adoption fee is $350.
