Our “Shining Star” was rescued off the tough streets of Puerto Rico, along with her daughter Angel.  Star has come so far in her journey to trust people.  When she first came into rescue, she was detached, distant and scared of people.  She has made so much progress…she has even gotten a little sassy…which we love.   She enjoys petting…especially butt massages…and if you aren’t paying attention to her, she will give you a few barks as if to say “hey, I am over here”.  She is by no means an incessant barker and has never shown any aggressive behaviors, but if she has something to say, she will say it!  We love that she has built up that confidence in her time with us.  Otherwise she settles beautifully in a comfy bed.  She gets along with all the different dogs in rescue and dare we say housetrained. J She was heartworm positive when she came to us, but is currently undergoing  treatment for that and is doing well!  Please, please consider giving her the home and love she deserves and help her continue to blossom!  Adoption fee:  $325
