UPDATE:  11/27/10 - Hi!  My  foster mom named me Sherlock because she recognized how astute and intuitive I am.  I live in Manhattan now, and I've quickly gotten used to the noise and  new challenges  that I meet each day in a big city.  People always tell my  foster mom  at the dog run that  I look debonair as if I was always wearing a tuxedo. I am very gentlemanly and courteous.  Even though we sleep together I will not wake my mom up in the morning while she's sleeping. I wait for her to greet and invite me for my morning kisses and hugs .Then we go for our morning walk . I respect my mother's wishes and don't have bad habits in the house .  I rarely bark, but when she leaves the house and I want to go I give a few bow, wow  in a soft quiet  tone. I love to be outside and I want to be with her.   My favorite things  are to play retrieve and tug with my toys. I can just about find anything to play with as I just love to play.   I especially love when people rub  my belly or under my chin.  I just roll over  and  give kisses. I must admit I am a monogamous dog. I need lots of love and I give lots of love and for that reason I prefer living in a one dog household. I have learned what it is to trust.  Please think about adopting me!

UPDATE: 11/24/10 - Guess what?  A woof has happened in 2 weeks!  I am neutered now and will never have to make puppies again!  WOOF WOOF!  I am so ready to take on the big world!  I just know my furever family is out there waiting for the right pup (like me!) to take home for the howlidays!  I know how to play fetch and absowoofly love belly rubs!   I always wait patiently until my foster Mommy wakes up in the morning so we go outside on a walk together.  She couldn't believe how quickly I adapted to my new life in the big city!  She says I am the best little boy ever and that I deserve an amazing furever family who will spoil me just like she does!  I love going on walks and I have made a bunch of new doggie friends at the park.  I really enjoy my foster Mommy's company and am the only dog there but with the proper introduction, I can learn to like having another doggie in my furever home.

UPDATE: 11/12/10 - I love to play with my toys and have already been learning to retrieve!  I have been  displaying signs of being calm and friendly with people.  I am learning fast from my foster Mom and am so smart that she lets me sleep on the edge of her nice, snuggly bed.  Thanks to my foster Mom, I am learning to trust her the same way she believes in me!

The world is such a scary place.  I don't know what the humans are doing or if other animals are going to hurt me so I show that I am very scared by growling.  I know how to walk on a leash better than most puppymill survivors and I try to act like I am very confident with myself when really I am unsure.  I hope that my foster Mom will help me build real confidence with humans & the rest of the world so I can be a happy dog. I also still have to go to the dogter so check on me soon!
