Update 11/13/11: Guess what? My foster Mommy has been allowing me to be around the house without a belly band and I do really well! Woof! Signs that I am a very smart boy. I do my business outside on my walks like I am supposed to. I don't care much for wee wee pads. I try my hardest to not wet my belly band and I try extra hard to not have an accident in the house. I want to show off to my foster Mommy so that she can tell the Rescue Squad and they can help find me a furever family! I love to play in the dog park and enjoy the company of other dogs. Will you take me home furever? Hurry and fill out and adoption application! I want a home before the howlidays! Woof!
Woof! Woof! My name is Topaz but my foster Mom calls me Taz. A few months ago I had a home and a Mommy but then she got sick and next thing I knew, nobody in the family wanted me and I was in a Shelter for 3 months! I am a great dog.... the only problem is that I was never house broken. I was allowed to mess anywhere that I wanted in the house so when I was in the Shelter, potential adopters would see me and say that it would be too much work to train me. Uh hello?! I am a Yorkie with a small bladder but I am not dumb! If my furever home was willing to work with me and teach me how to go potty outside and not inside the house, I will surely learn! All I need is a consistent furever home who will teach me that potty in the house is not acceptable. My potty training has begun now that I am in Rescue- since I am a leg lifter, my foster Mom is making me wear a belly band. This way she can keep an eye on me. I missed out on a lot the past few weeks so I am playing catch up now! I LOVE LOVE LOoOoVE to go for walks! I walk very well on a leash and am calm around other dogs and people when I am outside. So far I am proving to be very relaxed and calm but honestly, I have missed cuddling. I would much rather spend my time next to my foster Mommy on the couch. I eat dry kibble and I take treats gently from my foster Mommy's hand. I am strong, active and in great condition. I am a very sweet boy and my foster Mommy promises to teach me some basic commands as well as try to house train me. Looking for a sweet Yorkie boy like me?
