Update 7/19/12: I have been doing great in foster care!  I visited the dogter for a check-up as well as to be neutered. My foster family has a fur sibling that I get along with- I don't have any issues living with one or maybe two dogs but when there are too many around me, I seem to be unhappy.  When my foster family returns home, I like to say hello to them by greeting them at the door with a toy that I like to play fetch with.  They toss it for me a couple of times then I go about with my own business.  My foster family gets a kick out of how serious I am about catching that tail thing attached to my rear end.  It always teases me!  I am quite determined to catch it as I will keep at it for close to an hour.  None of us are sure how I don't fall over from dizziness- me included!  I walk well on a leash and enjoy my long walks very much so.  I am very energetic- certainly not a dog that anyone would think is 8 years or older!  Although I have no issue curling up into a ball and sleeping quietly on the floor!  I also enjoy sleeping on my back with all four paws in the air!  I am such a funny guy and am now ready for my furever family!  Please put in your application at www.yorkie911rescue.com.

Update 6/26/12: Soooo, guess what?  I am a great little boy!  I adjust real well to a new setting and happily greet my foster family at the door.  I want to be everywhere that my humans are.  I greatly enjoy car rides and staring out the windows.  Right now I have lots of animals in the woods behind the house that keep me entertained.  I love to play with toys, especially my gingerbread man toy.  I will retrieve it if my humans throw it for me.  I snuggle on the couch or will sleep in one of the dog beds.  I had kennel cough pretty bad and have been taking medicine to get me better.  I am still not 100% over this yet but the coughing has definitely slowed down so I know I am getting better!  Also, I am housebroken.  Apparently I am a pretty funny guy because when I chase my tail or roll around on the rug on my back, my foster family laughs hysterically at me!

Woof Woof!  My name is Skippy and I am new to rescue.  I was bathed by my foster Mommy and I was the best little boy.  I let her brush me too!  I may have vision issues so I need to visit the dogter but I get around fine (steps, doors, yard, etc).  I also need to visit the dogter to get a dental and to be neutered too!  So far I am proving to be potty trained and I go outside like a good boy.  If you're looking for a good boy who needs a warm bed, like me, then please visit www.yorkie911rescue.com and fill out an adoption application for me.  My adoption fee is $300 and I will be available for adoption real soon!
