Update 12/7/12: I am coming along wonderfully in rescue. I am attached at the hip to my foster pawrents but they are loving me. Since the Rescue Squad started me on my medication, I have made some amazing strides! It took me a little bit of time to warm up but now I am starting to feel right at home! I enjoy playing with my foster fur-siblings and chasing them around. I LOVE tennis balls! I also know how to "speak" to my humans.... I will make a growling sound when I am hungry, when I want to be picked up, have to go out and anything else I want or need. I just continue to grunt until you do what I want to do... do you think I am spoiled, or what?! Woof! I love hiding under the Christmas tree and running my back on the tree skirt. Who needs presents when you can have me?!! I would be great with other dogs, even larger, calm dogs. I don't mind the big dog here, er, I think they call him a boxer, but I would be just as happy being the only dog and getting all of the attention! I am such a mush and am really loving. I am also potty trained! In order to remain a healthy and happy pup, I will need to remain on a low protein diet and can not deter from it in any way. Please put in an adoption application for me only if you understand microvascular dysplasia and that I need daily medications to help keep me balanced.
Woof Woof! My name is Tuffy, also known as "Tuff Guy". Now, don't let my nickname scare you! Sometimes big personalities come in small bodies, which is what happened in my case. Although I am fairly new to rescue, they have already learned that I have conquered the skill of working the crowd with my cute little face and sweetheart of a personality. As I meet more of the Rescue Squad, I am quickly winning them all over! It's a skill I tell you (and my adorable face helps!) Woof! I do have a medical condition called microvascular dysplasia - which means my liver has some issues but with the right food and some very inexpensive medicine daily, I will have a wonderful life. If you want a sweetheart of a pup in your family furever, then visit www.yorkie911rescue.com to fill out an adoption application for me! Adoption fee $450.00
