RIP Sweet Odie
It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to my dear little Odie on Sept 4, 2017. Odie was an older dog when he was taken in by yorkie 911 in 2013. While it was clear that he had once been someone's furry family member (fully housebroken, well-mannered, friendly), it was also clear that his life had taken a bad turn. He had been found as a stray, underweight, matted, full of fleas, and with damaged hind quarters from an improperly healed fracture. After I adopted him, Odie was diagnosed with several other medical conditions (heart disease, epilepsy, and cataracts). He couldn't see clearly, still had trouble with his hind legs, and had to be carried up and down stairs. Despite all these challenges, Odie remained a sweet, happy little guy who loved to follow me around, go on long car trips, and hang out with his adopted brother DJ. Since I'm not such a fast mover myself, Odie and I were the perfect pair. Sadly, Odie's heart disease progressed to congestive heart failure, and he crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Sept 4. While I only had the pleasure of his company for 4 years, I will always consider my little Odie-doe-doe as a lifelong friend, and I will always cherish the time we had together. I am grateful to Yorkie911 Rescue for taking in this poor little stray and giving him the chance for a new and better life, and I am so glad that I happened to visit your website right at that perfect time. Farewell my sweet little Odie. I will miss you forever. Kathleen Stevens

RIP Sweet Collie
Collie was adopted in 2015 at 8.5 yrs old. Her new family fell in love with her but sadly only had her for 2 yrs before she went to be with the Angels. She will be missed by everyone who came to love her.

Forever in our hearts!

Dear Heidi, It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that JayJay, adopted from you in February 2016, has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. We sadly watched him deteriorate the past couple of weeks and had to make the heart wrenching decision to let him go last Thursday, August 31st. Our family is forever changed because of him, the amount of joy and love he brought to us is immeasurable and he will FOREVER be missed; 20 months was much too short a time to have loved him and although we are devastated over his loss we are so very grateful to you for saving him so that we had the opportunity TO love him! Sincerely, Gabriella, Tony, Lauren & Chris Luciano -- "JayJay's family!"

Ashes - you will be deeply missed!
Ashes was given a 2nd chance for a wonderful life with the Padro family. Not a day went by where he didn't get the love and kisses of his daddy. Our hearts go out to them .

Max was a very special boy!
We are so very sad to hear of Max's passing. He was such a sweet, strong boy. He put up a good fight even when he wasn't feeling great. Our condolences go out to his mom, Brigette.
