Mr. Muffin
5/7/2020: Feeling heartbroken. Lost another little piece of my heart today and there is an empty spot next to me on the couch as I write this. Today I had to say goodbye to my little buddy Mr Muffin. He will be missed by all of us. He had a very rough life before making it into rescue. At only three pounds with no teeth and a fractured jaw, and pieces of his ear missing he was fearless but yet loving. He didn’t take nonsense from any of the dogs. He slept with me every night curled up behind my knee or on my hip. My heart hurts and I miss him so much already. No matter how many times you go through this it doesn’t get any easier. RIP little one.❤️

Apollo James
5/7/2020: Tonight we had to do one of the hardest things and say goodbye to our little man. Unfortunately Apollo lost his battle to bladder cancer. We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing dog and best friend. Thank you for an amazing 5 years. We love you bud! #ApolloJames

Loki
It is so sad when one of our adopted pups crosses Rainbow Bridge - especially when they were with their new family for such a short time. Mookie (aka Loki) had a wonderful 16 months with his new family and will be missed by all who loved him.

Button (aka Sarge)
For the past 7 years Button has had his ups and downs but his pawrents never gave up on him. "He was the love of our lives" - Ann & Mark

Holly
It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that I give you the news that little Holly passed away yesterday morning at the Brentwood Islip Animal Hospital. She had not been doing well for awhile and last Thursday I had to bring her to the West Islip Emergency Hospital because she was breathing to heavily. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and given oxygen and hydrated, I brought her home with two types of antibiotics and bringing her in to Dr. Cronin for continued treatments. Unfortunately after a couple of days that gave me encouragement that she was improving, on 2/23 her breathing had worsened and I brought her to Dr. Cronin and left her hospitalized to give her intravenous antibiotics and fluids in hopes to improve her health. She passed away early morning yesterday. So we add another wonderful little one to our Rainbow Bridge of a wonderfully loving little dog. Yogi, Peanut and Holly filled a hole in my heart after my husbands death, I'll never forget them and keep their pictures on my dresser. Sincerely, Ruth Viana
