![]() So sad to learn today that sweet Dixie passed away from Breast Cancer. She was adopted in 2016 and was loved by her family and all who met her! RIP Dixie Chick ![]() Today, Lil Face went to Doggie Heaven. I fostered Lil Face from @yorkie911rescue for a year and a half and then chose to officially adopt him. He was found walking the streets of Harlem and dropped off to a high kill Shelter on Harlem. My wonderful organization saved him and I adopted him. He had a wonderful 5 years with me. He joined me on about 50 flights. He was my travel buddy. He lived in hotels with me as I traveled for work. He was a great companion. Humans can learn a lot from dogs. He was 4 pounds but would walk right up to pit pulls and say hello. I will continue to help support rescue organizations and awareness of puppy mills. I will also open my home to another dog in need. We have 11 dogs coming in from Puerto Rico that will need temporary homes and forever homes. Inbox me if you are interested. Thank you to everybody who has took part in Lil Faces wonderful life. ❤️ ![]() Last night we had to say goodbye to our boy Harry We are torn to pieces right now. He came into our lives when we were the lucky ones to rescue him from yorkie911rescue. Since that day we have loved our bad boy unconditionally. We will miss you buddy and all the barking and begging when you were hungry by tapping my shoulder and grunting. Go hang out with Meat and run free. Love you Harry ❤️ James & Laura ![]() Trying to find the words to convey what my heart feels has been so difficult. I wasn't looking to adopt a dog but found myself on the Yorkie 911 Rescue website where I saw Suki. I I was actually trying to find a pup for my girlfriend's mom who decided against another dog, yet there I was still looking at Suki! She captured my heart! My family and I decided to adopt her and brought her home June 18, 2011. We named her Joy. What a wonderful life we had together. Our pup Aimee bonded with Joy and their time together was priceless. I began doing home visits with Joy as part of the adoption process for Yorkie 911 Rescue. Everyone that met her fell in love with her! Joy enjoyed sitting outside soaking up the sun. She was by my side during my gardening and yard work. She loved going for walks in our neighborhood and settled into car rides with ease. She loved doggie treats!!! She was a puppy mill survivor and was a perfect example of how love can transform a pup. My family and I witnessed this shy pup turn into a sweet, loving, social family member. She was the sweetest dog I've ever known! We have no idea exactly how old she was but she was well into her teens yet acted like a puppy! She left us on Christmas Eve night. How fitting that our Joy would leave this world on such a joyous night. My family and I are forever grateful to Yorkie 911 Rescue and Heidi Walker for saving her from the cruel business of puppy mills and allowing her to be a part of our family. We are so grateful that we were able to hold her and love her the last hours and minutes of her life whispering loving words into to her sweet ears! She will be missed more than can ever be expressed. She truly changed my life. Until we meet again Joy - we will never stop loving you! Run free sweet angel and thank you for all the joy you brought us! "It well may be that we will never meet again In this lifetime, so let me say before we part - sO much of me is made of what I learned from you. You'll be with me like a handprint on my heart. And now whatever way our stories end I know you have re-written mine by being my friend. Because I knew you, I have been changed for good." Lyrics from For Good - Wicked ![]() From Puppy Mill to Rescue - Rosco went from being a scared little boy to a loving companion. He will be missed by his wonderful adoptive family but forever in their hearts! |
